The Institute of Political Science at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität (CAU) of Kiel was founded in 1951. The activities of the Institute in teaching and research focus on theories of political science and international relations, issues of international security and foreign policy, European integration, comparative politics, the political system of Germany and transformations of political regimes in Eastern Europe.
The Institute offers Bachelor and Master Programs in Political Science and it closely cooperates with the Institute for Security Policy at the CAU of Kiel on the issues of international relations and world politics. The Institute has a well equipped library specialized on topics of international relations and security policy.
